New stations every day
You know your usual station so well you could probably fill in for the breakfast host. Time to hear what else is out there. Skip & Stay brings you 24 music stations around the world every day. You might stay for some London soul or discover Finnish metal. They’re loud in the morning too, but at least they won’t ask if you’re having a fantastic day.

24 changing music stations with real local times. No duplicate station families in one selection. No station returns within seven days.
Search by country, language, genre or station. Find local radio using your location, or just enter a city. Being there is entirely optional.
Tap the heart to save a station. Tomorrow you’ll need more to go on than “blue logo, possibly Swedish.”

Six audio-reactive visualizers
As you listen, the music takes shape on screen. The particle core pulls inward with the bass, waves of light cross the player and colors come from the cover art. Six visualizers respond to frequencies and rhythm. Choose one in the player and give a whole song your attention. Whatever the internet’s angry about can wait three minutes.
Automatic music recognition
You hear a great song and wait for the title. The DJ gives you the weather, the traffic and a surprisingly detailed account of his weekend. The song title would’ve been nice. Skip & Stay automatically identifies music and keeps recognized tracks with the artist and artwork when available. You can find the song later, without giving anyone a deeply unhelpful humming performance.
Recognition, artwork and track links depend on the stream and music catalog. Track information is saved, not audio recordings.
For iPhone Duo and iPad
Unfold your iPhone Duo and give artwork, the visualizer and playback more room. A tap takes you back to browsing. Where there’s enough space, station browsing and the player sit side by side. Skip & Stay uses the available room on iPad too. You didn’t buy the big screen for extra margins.

Your listening world and Radio Passport
You start with a local station and end up listening to jazz from Japan. Your listening world keeps track of where you stopped along the way: countries, favorite stations and listening time by month. Radio Passport adds badges and new color themes to unlock. Your fitness tracker will still insist you’ve been sitting down all afternoon.
Make your mobile data last
You want your favorite station on holiday and some data left for the flight home. On iPhone, choose a mobile bitrate and set a separate radio-data allowance. A suitable lower-bitrate stream uses less audio data, and the allowance gives your radio a stopping point. Your phone bill shouldn’t be the most memorable part of the trip.
Set a mobile limit between 64 and 320 kbit/s. Skip & Stay works with the stream variants the broadcaster offers. You can hide stations without a suitable option. Wi-Fi quality stays independent.
Choose an amount in MB or GB. When the app’s measured mobile allowance runs out, radio playback pauses. Wait for Wi-Fi or explicitly grant another limited amount.
Keep an eye on usage and remaining data. Adding an allowance preserves what was already counted. Pressing play again doesn’t quietly wipe the slate clean.
Audio-only examples at a constant bitrate. The broadcaster must offer a suitable stream variant.
The allowance covers radio audio measured by Skip & Stay on this iPhone. It isn’t a carrier spending cap: other app requests, connection overhead and other apps aren’t fully included. Buffering and delayed accounting can cause small overruns. For adaptive HLS, the bitrate limit is a target.
Set up mobile data limitsA native Mac player
On your Mac, the radio stays in the menu bar while you get on with everything else. Pin up to seven favorite stations and reach playback, volume, AirPlay and the sleep timer in the compact player. Close the main window and the music keeps playing. That’s one of your twelve open windows dealt with.
Pin up to seven favorite stations and switch straight from the menu bar.
Playback, volume, AirPlay and the sleep timer are all in the compact player.
Resize the main player, hide it when you need room and bring it back when you want it. If only the rest of your desktop were this cooperative.
Radio in the car
Bring your new favorite stations into the car. CarPlay puts favorites, recently played stations and current playback within reach through large controls. Connect your iPhone by USB or use wireless CarPlay if your car supports it. The traffic will be exactly as bad. At least you can change what’s on.
Included in the iPhone app. Wireless CarPlay uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; Bluetooth audio alone does not show CarPlay. Set up and test while parked.

Skip & Stay adds no ads. Stations still do. So yes, you might hear about a furniture store’s final going-out-of-business sale. Again. Don’t send flowers. They’ll be back next weekend.
It’s live radio. The station chooses the song. You choose whether to stay. Switch stations whenever you like. No awkward conversation required.
Not for radio. That plays directly in Skip & Stay. Matching recognized songs have links to Apple Music if you want to follow them there.
No. Recognition depends on the stream and music catalog. Not every track can be matched. When possible, you’ll see the title, artist and cover. The app saves track information, not an audio recording.
Each day brings 24 music stations with real local times, spread around the world as evenly as possible. Station families don’t repeat in one selection; a station won’t return within seven days. Real time zones and station locations mean the clocks aren’t always exactly an hour apart.

On iPhone, set a mobile bitrate limit and a separate radio-data allowance. Playback pauses when the measured allowance is exhausted; wait for Wi-Fi or explicitly add a limited amount. The broadcaster needs to offer a suitable stream variant. The app measures radio audio, not your entire plan’s usage, and buffering or delayed accounting can cause small overruns. Your carrier determines roaming prices and billing.
Skip & Stay supports different stream formats and quality levels, including suitable lossless streams. What’s actually available depends on the broadcaster and your connection. Streams above 320 kbit/s or lossless formats may take longer to start. A loading note explains when that applies.
Somewhere, a song is playing that you’ll want to hear again tomorrow. Pick a station. Stay if it’s good.
