Ask a question ↗Getting started
What Talori does for you. And how to get started right away.
What is Talori – and what isn’t?
Talori helps you keep track of items and money you have lent or borrowed. Record what is on loan, who has it, when the loan started and, if agreed, when it should be returned. Photos, reminders and a history complete the entry. You can still review the loan after it has ended.
Lent out means you gave something to another person. Borrowed means you received something from another person and want to return it.
This website explains the app. You cannot edit your personal entries in this browser.
Link to articleWhich devices and systems are supported?
The current Talori app is intended for the iPhone with iOS 26 or newer. Before installing, check the compatibility information in the App Store. An iPad version is planned, but not currently available. An Android version is not yet planned.
Normal management works regardless of whether your iPhone supports Apple Intelligence. Additional device, language and system requirements apply for the marked AI functions.
Devices & AI: Requirements and setup
The official app store link leads to the product address. Whether a download is already possible depends on the publication by Apple.
Link to articleYour first entry – in just a few steps
- Open the Lent out or Borrowed section appropriate to the situation and start a new entry.
- Enter a clear name, for example “cordless screwdriver”. Complete the person, for example “Alex”.
- Choose an appropriate category. A photo will help with recognition later, but is not necessary.
- Add a return date and reminder if necessary. Both have a different task: document the agreement and notify you.
- Check the information and save. The entry appears in your overview.
The entry cannot be completed without a name and person. Money also requires a valid amount and currency. Further mandatory information can be found in the fields displayed.
You can enter little initially and add to the entry later. The introduction can be viewed again in the settings.
Link to articleCapture & AI
Manually, via quick entry or with more details. You stay in control.
Create and edit an entry manually
Manual capture is also available without AI. Start a new process, check the direction and enter the object and person. Choose the actual loan or loan date if it was not today.
A precise name avoids confusion: “cordless screwdriver with two batteries” is more helpful than “tool”. Description and notes can record agreements or special features. You can add the photo, return date and reminder as needed.
For later changes, open the entry and the edit action. Then check the information and save. An open form is not yet a saved change. Relevant changes are recorded in the entry's history.
Link to articleAI Quick Capture: turn a sentence into a draft
AI · supported devicesView requirements ↗
- Open Quick Capture if it is available on your device.
- Describe the loan in a sentence, for example: “I lent Alex my cordless screwdriver until next Friday. Remind me on Thursday.”
- Let Talori create a draft.
- Check the direction, person, item and dates carefully. Correct or complete the fields and add a photo if needed.
- Save only when the draft is correct.
Processing uses Apple's local language model. It helps you enter information; it does not automatically confirm your agreement. Ambiguous wording, names and relative dates can be misunderstood. Make the direction explicit, for example “received from Alex” or “lent to Alex”.
Entering a sentence alone does not store a new entry in the app. Reviewing the draft is part of the process.
Link to articleWhat do the AI features require?
AI · supported devicesView requirements ↗
Talori offers device-dependent AI for quick capture and writing suggestions for reminder messages. Availability is checked for the respective function; A translated app interface alone does not mean that the AI supports that language.
You need an Apple Intelligence-ready iPhone, Apple Intelligence enabled, a downloaded and available system model, and a supported language configuration. According to Apple, this includes iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and supported iPhone 16 models or newer. The complete current requirements, including language and region, are described in Apple: Use Apple Intelligence.
Talori also has its own minimum version of iOS 26. Check the area for setting up local AI in the Talori settings and follow the instructions displayed there. After activation or a system update, the model may not be ready.
Link to articleDictation, AI and automatic image recognition: the differences
You can enter text using the iOS keyboard and, if set up and available on your device, use the dictation function. This is a function of the system keyboard. It is not the same as a standalone Talori voice assistant.
The internal Talori voice assistant and experimental natural language search are not currently part of the public functionality. The normal text search in your lists is independent of this.
Adding photos does not currently mean that Talori will automatically recognize their content. The automatic photo/scan evaluation is currently deactivated. Therefore, do not rely on automatic reading of labels, serial numbers, ISBNs or barcodes. Enter such information in the appropriate fields.
The published AI functions are expressly marked in these instructions. More about devices and local AI.
Link to articleSet simple or advanced capture
Under Settings → Capture, choose how much detail new forms should include. Simple capture focuses on the essentials. Advanced capture adds relevant category details, accessories or components and other structured information.
Enable advanced capture if you want to record batteries and a charger with a tool, for example, or a camera's model and accessories. Different categories show different fields: money needs different information from a book or a camping set.
Multiple photos per entry is a separate setting. Check this switch if you can only select one photo. Review existing information on the individual entry; choosing a more compact interface is not a request to delete your data.
Link to articleSelect categories and adjust the selection
A category makes entries easier to find and determines which additional details are useful. The standard catalogue includes books, electronics, tools, games, kitchen, sports, camping, photography, office, music, money, mobility, events and other items.
Under Settings → Categories, search the available categories and enable or disable them in your selection. Specialised categories include bicycles, clothing, pets, plants, keys and moving. You choose from an existing catalogue; you cannot define an entirely new category type.
Hiding a category is not the same as deleting its entries. Choose “Other” and add a useful description if nothing fits. Use category templates for recurring combinations of details.
Link to articleRecord accessories, quantities and category details
In the extended recording, free description and structured information complement each other. For example, the author and ISBN make sense for books, and the brand, model and serial number for electronics. Tools can include batteries, chargers, cases or attachments.
- First select the appropriate category.
- Fill in only the detail fields that match your item.
- Check the suggested components. Adapt the existing components and quantities to the actual scope.
- Document the condition and handover with appropriate information and photos.
- Before saving, check whether the list really corresponds to what you are handing over.
This information later forms the basis for return checks and, if necessary, partial returns. A suggested component is not an automatic confirmation that it was actually included. Not every category offers all detail or quantity functions.
Link to articlePrepare recurring information with templates
With advanced capture enabled, you will find Category templates in Settings. They help you reuse common configurations for a category, instead of preparing accessories and the detail structure each time.
Create or edit a template for a typical use case, such as a camera kit. Apply it to an appropriate entry, then check the specific information. A template is a starting point, not an inventory check or an automatically created loan.
Do not assume that changing a template updates previous handovers retroactively. Check each entry separately. When lending the same physical item again, use the dedicated lending-again flow to keep the individual loans distinct.
Link to articleAll about photos
From the first image to backup: selection, order, cropping and quality.
Add photos: camera, library and files
When capturing or editing, open the photo selector. Depending on the source offered, you can take an image, select from your photo library or import an image file. Only allow the necessary access if you want to use the respective source.
For an image series, activate Settings → Capture → multiple photos per entry. Talori then supports up to 20 entry photos. Already existing photos count. For multiple images, wait until processing is complete and check the thumbnails before saving.
One photo is optional. Without an image, Talori uses an appropriate category representation. Selecting a file imports an image; it is not a function for importing a complete Talori data backup.
Link to articleReorder photos and change the main image
- Open the entry for editing and go to the photo strip. Multiple photos must be enabled.
- Touch and hold a thumbnail, then drag it to the desired position among the other images.
- Release it there. Repeat for other photos as needed.
- Move your preferred main image to the first position. The first photo becomes the main photo.
- Save the edited entry.
Reordering does not import the photos again or create extra copies in your photo library. Talori keeps the new order with the entry. You can then browse the photos in that order in the image viewer.
VoiceOver provides actions for moving photos, with accessible labels for the position and main photo. Reordering may be temporarily unavailable while images are still being processed.
Link to articleCrop a photo and adjust its framing
- Open the desired photo in the image preview and select the crop action.
- Select the aspect ratio: Original, Square, 4:3 or 16:9. For portrait format images, the corresponding portrait format ratios are used.
- Move and enlarge the image in the crop until the object is clearly visible.
- You can restart the current crop setting by resetting in the crop dialog. By clicking Cancel you will not accept it.
- Confirm the cropping. If you are still in the entry form, complete saving it too.
Repeatedly zooming in at high levels can reduce the visible sharpness. Cropping in Talori does not edit the original photo in Apple's Photos app.
Link to articleRemove or replace individual images
Use the Remove action on the desired preview image and confirm the selection. Before saving, make sure you removed the correct photo. For a replacement, add the new image and arrange it in the desired position.
If you remove the first image, the next remaining image becomes the main photo. If there are no more images available, the category display appears again. Removing an entry photo does not delete the original image from your personal photo library.
With iCloud sync enabled, a saved change also affects the synced version of the entry. A previously manually exported backup, on the other hand, is an independent file and is therefore not subsequently changed.
Talori does not offer a guaranteed trash can for removed entry images. Keep important originals backed up separately.
Link to articleHow are the images saved – and in what quality?
Talori processes selected photos into its own space-saving JPEG copies. The display version is currently limited to 1,280 pixels on the longest edge and saved with a JPEG quality value of 0.78. A smaller thumbnail, limited to 240 pixels with a quality value of 0.72, helps lists load quickly.
Import preserves the aspect ratio and takes image orientation into account. These quality values are technical encoder settings, not “78 percent of the original sharpness”. The app is not a full-resolution original photo archive or a RAW editor. Importing or cropping a small or blurry image cannot create genuine new detail.
The processed copies are stored locally with the entry, together with the sequence of the main and additional photos. Cropping generates new display and thumbnail copies from the chosen area. The JPEG encoding does not copy the complete original camera metadata set.
Link to articleWhat happens to photos with iCloud, export and device switching?
Without Talori iCloud sync enabled, your listing images will be managed locally by Talori. If you activate synchronization, the saved photos, along with the main image, order and entry, belong to your private iCloud data. Changing devices then requires, among other things, the same Apple account and activated synchronization.
The transfer of image data can take longer than the entry is displayed. Let the sync finish and check the photos on the other device before resetting the previous device. A visible entry alone does not prove that all images have already been downloaded.
The full JSON backup contains the image data stored in Talori including the associated preview data, not the original high-resolution files from your library. The CSV export is intended for tabular data and does not replace image backup.
Manually exported files remain in the storage location you choose. Talori cannot retrieve exports that have already been shared or saved separately by later deleting the entry.
Link to articleA photo cannot be imported or appears blurry
First check whether the image is fully available in the source. An original that is only in iCloud Photos may have to be loaded first. Also check the allowed camera/photo access and the number of existing images.
To protect against excessively large or corrupted files, Talori checks the import: a maximum of 64 MiB source data, a maximum of 100 million pixels and a maximum of 20,000 pixels per side. The file must be readable as an image. If you have a very large file, first reduce it using a suitable image tool and try importing again.
For sharpness, the source counts: Shoot the object in good light and avoid a very small object in the middle of a huge image. Check the large image view; the small list preview is deliberately lower resolution. Talori is not a tool for lossless upscaling.
If an image remains blank after switching devices, check the iCloud status first. Don't rush to delete the entry or all cloud data as a fix.
Link to articleReminders & returns
Record your agreement. Send a friendly reminder. Complete a loan with confidence.
Return date and reminder are not the same thing
The return date documents by when something should be returned. The Reminder determines when Talori should alert you. An item can be loaned without an agreed return date and still have a reminder.
Choose a suggested or your own date when entering it. After changing the return date, also check the reminder: Your desired notification time must match the new agreement. Overdue means that the documented deadline of an open transaction has been exceeded - not that Talori has automatically contacted the other person.
You can adjust the intervals offered under Settings → Return suggestions. Built-in options include tomorrow, three days, next week, two weeks, one month and three months; own suggestions work with days, weeks or months.
Link to articleSet a one-time or recurring reminder
- Open the entry or the entry form and activate the reminder.
- Choose a suggestion such as tomorrow, next week, in two weeks or next month - or your own appointment.
- For regular checking, you can choose every Friday.
- Check the specific appointment and save the entry.
- Allow Talori to show notifications when iOS asks.
The Friday reminder is set up as a recurring local notification; the other appointment types are one-time reminders. The notification is aimed at you on your device. It is not an automatically sent SMS, email, or message to the other person.
When you complete a transaction as returned, its open reminders are no longer considered an active loan transaction. When you reopen, check whether you want to set a suitable reminder again.
Link to articleWhy doesn't a notification appear?
- Check the entry to see whether the reminder is actually activated and saved and the process is still open.
- Check the time: Is it still in the future? Was the date subsequently changed?
- Check Talori's notification settings and, in iPhone settings, notification permission for Talori.
- Check system-wide settings that mute notifications or affect their appearance, such as focus and notification appearance.
- Open Talori again and check the entry and its reminder status.
A silent notification does not necessarily mean that the entry is missing. Conversely, a saved return date alone does not guarantee notification. If necessary, use your usual scheduling for time-critical obligations.
If the problem persists, send an error message using the contact form with the iPhone model, iOS and Talori version as well as the intended reminder time.
Link to articleSend a friendly reminder message
- Open the appropriate entry and action for a friendly reminder.
- Check the prepared message text. You can change it yourself and adapt it to your wishes.
- Open the share selection and select a message or mail app available on your device.
- Check the recipient and content there and consciously complete the sending.
iOS decides which apps appear in the share selection based on the apps you have installed. The other person does not need a Talori account for this.
Link to articleUse AI writing suggestions for reminders
AI · supported devicesView requirements ↗
On supported devices, Talori can help you create a friendly reminder. In the reminder view, if the local model is available, suggestions for different tones are available, such as more formal, more personal, or more casual.
- Open the reminder message for an entry.
- Select the available wording aid and the appropriate tone of voice.
- Read the suggestion in its entirety. Check the name, object, dates and the desired message.
- Adjust it yourself if necessary and only then share it via your chosen app.
The AI does not send anything independently. Polite formulation is no substitute for checking the facts. If the function is not offered or fails, you can write the same text yourself as normal.
Link to articleDocument a complete return
- Open the correct entry and check whether it is “Lent” or “Borrowed”.
- Select the return action and confirm its completion.
- Then, if necessary, note whether everything is OK or open the more detailed return check.
- Check the completed process and its progress.
The return ends the active process. It is not a deletion: the information remains traceable as a completed loan. The condition check must be distinguished from the fact of the return - something can be back and still show damage or missing accessories.
If you do not complete the check immediately, you must not interpret a check that is still open as a confirmed "everything is fine". Document later what you actually checked.
Link to articleRecord condition, damage and missing parts
The return check is based on the category and the information recorded. Depending on the item, you check its completeness, cleanliness or function, for example. Choose the factually appropriate answer for each point; Points that are still open remain distinguishable from those that have already been answered.
Specifically document damage or a missing part. Add a comprehensible description and, if appropriate, a return photo. An unprocessed checkpoint is not automatically passed. “Not applicable” is different from “okay.”
The check is your private documentation within Talori, not a public rating and not a protocol signed by the other person. Photos and information do not automatically prove cause or responsibility. Record the actual observation and your agreement separately.
If a problem is clarified later, add the appropriate status to the process instead of mentally mixing the previous situation with a new loan.
Link to articleWhat should be taken into account when returning sets and partial returns?
For suitable categories with recorded components and quantities, Talori can document returns in more detail. You can distinguish a partially returned set from one with missing accessories. These options depend on the category and the information recorded; a simple entry does not necessarily have quantity controls.
- Check the components and quantities recorded at handover.
- In the return check's component view, record what actually came back. For a single component, toggle its return status. For multiple units, adjust the returned quantity.
- Check which components are still outstanding, missing or damaged.
- “No longer required” records a deliberate decision that a component no longer needs to be returned. This is different from confirming that it was returned.
- Save the check. Complete the overall loan deliberately: a completion with missing parts must remain distinguishable from a complete return.
Partial accessory returns are not a general instalment or part-payment ledger for money. Use notes for additional agreements and check the history when correcting a quantity.
Link to articleLoan again or reverse a return?
Re-lend is intended for a new transaction with an already known item. Open the completed entry and use the action offered for it. Check the new person, the date, reminder and current condition. Previous return information is not proof of the condition at a later handover.
Reopening, on the other hand, corrects a process that was completed in error. Do not use it as a replacement for an actual new loan if you want to understand both processes separately.
Talori differentiates between the item and its loan processes. The same assigned item should not be managed in several active processes at the same time. If a new active transaction already exists, a conflicting action may therefore not be available.
A new loan transaction counts as an additional saved entry and is therefore also subject to the free entry limit.
Link to articleOrganisation, people & money
Find entries faster, understand their history and keep track of money too.
Search, filter and sort entries
The normal search takes into account name, person, category and description. If your search is unsuccessful, try a shorter, unique term. The search is not an automatic evaluation of your photos or a chat with all app data.
In addition, you can filter by category and the display filters offered, such as entries with reminders or currently due attention. Several restrictions work together. Reset search and filters if you miss an entry.
Sorting includes attention, next reminder, most recent, longest on the go, name and person. Attention prioritizes relevant open issues; Alphabetical sorting arranges by text. The choice changes the display, not the saved loan data.
Also check the direction and the archive: a returned or borrowed item does not have to appear in the open loaned list.
Link to articleEnter people and use contacts
You can register a person by name. A contact link helps if you want to select an existing iPhone contact, but is not a Talori account and is not an invitation to that person.
For contact selection, iOS can ask for access. With restricted sharing, you only see the permitted contacts. Check contact permissions if an expected contact doesn't show up. Manual entry remains an option without sharing the entire address book.
Use unique names so you don't confuse two people named Alex. Before sending a message, check the actual recipient in the chosen messaging app. A name displayed in Talori alone does not guarantee a correct address or telephone number.
Personal overviews help you to classify the associated processes. They do not become the other person's public profile.
Link to articleWhat remains in the history and in the archive?
The history records important steps in a process, such as creation, changes, reminder actions, returns and reopening. Advanced operations can also include component changes, partial returns and return checks.
The archive or closed area preserves returned entries. This means you can later check who you gave something to and when, without seeing these processes between the open entries.
A history is your app documentation, not an independent proof of delivery, not a digital signature, and not an immutable archive of evidence. A previous export is a snapshot at the time of export.
Link to articleWhat do the private reliability profiles show?
Talori can combine documented return experiences into private reliability profiles. The basis is your recorded processes and return information - not the claim that you can objectively or comprehensively evaluate another person.
You can switch the display of reliability profiles on or off under Settings → Private evaluations. Hiding the display does not automatically delete the underlying processes or return information.
First check the initial data if an assessment does not match your memory: Are the return date, check and documented clarification correct? Few or incomplete transactions provide only limited context.
The profiles are not a public ranking or a creditworthiness or credit score. They will not be sent to the other person simply by creating an entry.
Link to articleDocument money borrowed or lent
Select the Money category and check the direction. Enter a positive amount and the appropriate currency. EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, JPY, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN and TRY are supported. Add the person, date, any agreed return and notes on the arrangement.
Interest rates are additional information. Only use values that you actually want to document and control the resulting display. A return date cannot be earlier than the loan date; Negative interest is not included in this entry.
Currencies are managed as chosen units; Automatic conversion using current exchange rates is not part of this process.
Link to articleHow does Talori calculate interest?
Talori uses a simple prorated calculation: Amount × annual interest rate ÷ 100 × days ÷ 365. No compound interest is charged. A value of zero means no interest for the interest rate in question.
Regular interest and any default interest rate entered are considered for separate periods. Late payment interest only begins after the return date; They are not a flat rate of additional compound interest on the entire previous claim.
In the case of an open transaction with an agreed future return date, the display can take regular interest up to this date into account as a forecast. This is not to be equated with interest that has only accrued to date. In the case of a return, the documented actual date is included in the calculation.
You can adjust the selection values offered under Settings → Interest rates. Check the amount, date, interest rate and label of the calculation if a result seems unexpected to you. Talori does not examine whether a private interest agreement is legal or enforceable.

This is how you adapt Talori to your everyday life, without unnecessary complexity.
Set dark mode, language, sounds and haptics
Under Settings → Display you select System, Light or Dark. “System” follows your iPhone’s appearance; A fixed selection determines Talori's appearance independently.
Sounds & Haptics controls the app's acoustic and tactile feedback. It is to be distinguished from the system-wide delivery of a reminder: a switched off operating sound does not automatically mean a deactivated notification.
In the Language area you will find the language selection or the corresponding path to the system settings. App language and available local AI languages are not the same. Therefore, do not change a language in the expectation that this will unlock an unsupported device for AI.
The app takes into account system aids such as VoiceOver and reduced movement on the appropriately designed controls. If you have problems with very large fonts or an auxiliary function, also mention this setting in the contact form.

Link to articleWhat is free – and what does Talori Pro change?
Free use is limited to five saved entries in total. Loaned and borrowed processes as well as active and completed processes count together. Five open entries plus any number of archived entries is not the free model.
Talori Pro removes this entry limit with a one-time in-app purchase. An ongoing subscription is not provided for this. Apple displays the binding price and purchase conditions before purchase; These instructions deliberately do not mention any potentially outdated amount.
Lending an item again creates a new loan record, which also counts towards the limit. Don't keep important history unsecured just to stay under a limit.
Link to articleBuy Talori Pro or restore a purchase
Open Talori Pro in Settings and follow Apple's purchase dialog. A cancelled or pending purchase is not a completed activation. Talori must recognise a valid purchase before Pro becomes active.
After reinstalling or changing devices, use Restore purchases. For App Store purchases, sign in with the Apple account used for the original purchase and make sure you can connect to the store.
If Pro remains unavailable, check Apple's purchase status first, then try restoring again. Do not rush to buy it a second time. For an initial support request, include your Talori version, device and purchase status – not passwords or full payment details.
Restoring Pro does not restore your entries. Your content is handled separately through iCloud and data backups.

What stays on your device, what gets synced, and what deleting really means.
Where are my entries? Do I need an account?
Talori initially saves entries, photos and related information locally on your device. You don't need a separate Talori user account to manage your entries. Your Apple account is used for optional iCloud sync; The App Store is responsible for purchases.
Normal work with locally available entries is also possible offline. Internet is required for synchronization, media not yet available locally from an external source, store operations and sending a support message, among other things.
Local AI processes the intended text with the Apple model available on the device. This does not mean that every other action of the app works offline: For example, if you activate iCloud or send a message via another app, the respective transmission path applies.
Link to articleSet up iCloud sync
- Check that the iPhone is signed in to the desired Apple account and that iCloud is available for Talori.
- Open Settings → Data & backup → iCloud.
- Enable sync and read the confirmation before continuing.
- Let the first sync complete. If necessary, use the offered action to re-synchronize.
- Check the same Apple account, the activated Talori synchronization and then entries, order and images on another supported device.
The data is in your private iCloud area. This is not a shared lending account with the person you loaned to. Entering another person’s name does not share entries with that person.
Changes made offline will require a connection again later for synchronization. Synchronization is not to be understood as an instantaneous transmission in every network state.
Link to articleiCloud hangs or something is missing from a device
- Compare the Apple account and the activated Talori iCloud setting on both devices.
- Check the internet connection and available iCloud storage as well as the displayed status message.
- Open Talori on both devices and let ongoing processes, including photos, finish.
- If necessary, use "Sync now" if no synchronization is in progress.
- Compare a specific entry including changes and photos, not just the total number.
A transfer may take time after an offline phase, with many images or a system interruption. If the error persists, note the exact message, app/iOS versions and which change is missing on which device.
Link to articleExport a full backup
- Open Settings → Data & Backup.
- Choose to export the full backup and wait for it to complete.
- In the iOS share view, choose a suitable location, for example “Save to Files”.
- Check outside of Talori that the file is in the desired location. Additionally, keep important backups in a separate, protected location.
The JSON backup is a structured snapshot. It contains entries, history, the photos stored in Talori, additional details and associated settings or evaluation data. The images included are Talori's processed image copies, not the full library originals.
The file may contain personal names, notes and photos. Don't pass them on carelessly. Just having the share menu open does not mean that the backup has actually been saved.
Link to articleExport and further process tables
Select table/CSV export under Settings → Data & Backup. It is intended for evaluation and further processing in suitable table programs. Save the offered files completely using the share view.
The information is distributed across related tables: including entries, history, additional fields, category details, components, return checks, partial returns, templates, settings and the data base for private reliability evaluations. A single table alone therefore does not represent all connections; IDs link the information.
If your spreadsheet program shows everything in one column, check its CSV import settings. Check date values, numbers and currencies before carrying out your own evaluation.
CSV is not a backup of the image files and is not an automatic import back to Talori. Use the full JSON backup to include photos stored in Talori. Back up high-resolution original images separately.
Link to articleWhat do I have to do before changing the device or reinstalling it?
- Check the complete data on the previous device and export a current backup.
- If you use Talori-iCloud, wait for a synchronization to complete and check the important photos.
- Install Talori on the new supported iPhone and use the correct Apple account.
- Activate Talori-iCloud sync and let the download complete.
- Compare open and archived entries and photos. If necessary, restore an existing Pro purchase separately.
- Do not reset the old device until you have actually checked the transferred data.
Without existing iCloud data or an otherwise usable device backup, restoration after uninstallation is not guaranteed. A JSON export alone does not offer a manual import button in the current app interface. Clarify an unclear recovery case via support before deleting it.
Link to articleDelete a single entry
Open the entry in question and use the delete action. Before confirming, check the name, person and the affected process. If you just want to record that something has been returned, the return action is the way to go - not delete.
A deletion removes the affected entry with the associated stored information in the intended deletion flow. If iCloud synchronization is activated, the deletion is also synchronized. Another synchronized device is therefore not an independent backup of the deleted entry.
A guaranteed recycle bin with later recovery is not part of this process. Export important information beforehand. Original photos in your media library and export files that have already been saved separately are not automatically deleted when the entry is deleted.
Link to articleLocal data, iCloud data or delete everything?
Under Data & Backup, Talori deliberately distinguishes between different deletion areas. Read the specific confirmation completely and only enter the requested confirmation if you understand the scope.
- On this device: remove the local Talori data. Retained iCloud data must be distinguished from this and can become relevant again during later synchronization.
- In iCloud: Remove Talori Cloud data. This is a different decision than just turning off sync; note the notes on local inventory and later reactivation.
- Everywhere: remove local and associated iCloud data in the overall deletion process offered.
Create a backup before an intended cleanup if you want to keep data. Do not use full wipe as a typical attempt to resolve a single display or sync issue.
Link to articleWhat permissions and data paths are there?
Talori requests access when relevant: camera access to take photos, photo selection to add images, contacts to choose a person and notification permission for reminders. You can review system permissions later in iPhone Settings. Refusing a permission limits the related feature, not necessarily all manual use of the app.
Optional iCloud sync, local AI and sharing through another app are separate data paths. When you share something, the selected service's terms and recipient settings also apply. Review the content before sending it.
This guide's search runs entirely in your browser. It does not send search terms to a search service or store them permanently. The contact form is separate and transmits the message you choose to send.
See the privacy policy for the relevant information. This guide does not replace it or promise absolute security or complete confidentiality for content on an unlocked device.

Open Talori with Apple shortcuts
Talori provides app shortcuts for typical getting started: preparing a loaned or borrowed item, viewing open items, and initiating a return. You can find available Talori actions in Apple's shortcuts app.
Select the appropriate action there and add the parameters provided. The process leads to the appropriate view or confirmation in Talori. It is not a permission for invisible, unchecked creation or return of arbitrary entries in the background.
The system integration of shortcuts and, if applicable, Siri is not identical to the internal Talori voice assistant. The latter is currently not part of the published range of functions. After a short command has been triggered, always check whether the desired operation was actually completed in Talori.

- Capture: You give Alex a cordless screwdriver with two batteries. Create it manually or use AI quick capture on a supported device. Check that the name and picture show the same object.
- Document: Choose the Tools category, add the actual components in advanced capture and put the most descriptive photo first.
- Agree: Enter Friday as a return and Thursday as a reminder. Save and review the finished entry.
- Ask: If necessary, formulate a friendly reminder yourself or with available AI help. Select Alex in your messaging app and send consciously.
- To take back: Check device, both batteries and accessories. Document the return and condition; record missing parts as such.
- Save: The process remains traceable when completed. If you want to lend it to another person later, start “Lend again” and check the new handover.
All steps in this example are also possible without AI. The AI shortens inputs; it does not replace your control or the actual delivery or return.
Link to articleWhat can Talori specifically not do at the moment?
- No public lending platform, no shared group inventory and no browser editor for your entries.
- No automatic sending of reminders to other people and no delivery/reading guarantee.
- No payment execution, bank connection, automatic currency conversion or complete installment accounting.
- No currently activated automatic photo/scan evaluation; Images and their information are not automatically equated.
- No public standalone Talori voice assistant and no experimental natural language search.
- No AI guarantee on every iPhone or in every app language.
- No loss-free original photo archive and no guaranteed restoration of an earlier photo crop.
- No freely accessible JSON/CSV reimport in the current Settings interface.
- No iPad version available yet; this is planned. An Android version is not yet planned.
Planned functions are not a promise of a release date. The published app version and its availability are decisive for actual changes.

Use the contact form and choose the appropriate category. A useful bug report includes:
- Your iPhone model, iOS version and Talori version. You can find the app version in the information section of Settings.
- The steps you took, what you expected and what happened instead.
- Whether it happens repeatedly and whether iCloud, offline use, a particular language or an accessibility feature is involved.
- The exact error message and a non-sensitive example instead of real confidential content.
For a feature request, explain the problem you want to solve and how you currently use Talori to do it. Sending a support message does not automatically give us access to your personal app data.
